Our Contracts

Blood Screening and Certification Contract with Lagos State Government, Lagos Nigeria

(2004 - Present)

  • Banner Diagnostics has a private/public joint venture agreement with the Lagos State Government (LASG) Ministry of Health to equip some of the hospitals with world class Elisa equipment/instruments. We manage and operate 4 Blood Screening centres which are geographically located in Lagos and its environs taking care of the 15 State Hospitals.

    Apart from providing screening services for these government hospitals, our centres screen blood for a host of Private Blood Bank Laboratories in Lagos State and its environs.

    The Lagos State Government and Banner Diagnostics laboratory scientists jointly run all tests in the centres on a daily basis, as stipulated by the State's law. The blood for transfusion is screened for the following tests:

    • HIV ag/ab

    • Hepatitis B (HbsAg)

    • Hepatitis C (HCV)

    • Syphilis

    It is mandatory for blood to be screened and certified for use in transfusion at all public and private hospitals, clinics and other health establishments in Lagos state.

    All our Brand Test Reagent Kits (Biokit SPA) are “WHO prequalified” and they bear the “CE Mark” as they are manufactured and marketed by Werfen Group/Instrumentation Laboratory, Italy & Spain.

Blood Screening and Certification Contract with Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Lagos – a Federal Tertiary Teaching Hospital

(November 2016 – till present)

  • The contract supported by the MOU is for the provision of equipment & reagents/consumables and for the renovation of the hospital’s Blood Bank and was commissioned by the Federal Minister of Health on 1st August, 2017.

Blood Screening and Certification Contract with Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, (OAUTHC) Ile-Ife, Oshun State

(June 2019 – May 2026, 7 year contract, ongoing)

  • Another Federal Tertiary Teaching Hospital was commissioned on 7th June, 2019 by the Chief Medical Director of OAUTHC, Ile-Ife.
